How does it work?
The solar collector converts the energy of the sun into heat. Hot air circulates through the cabin due to the natural convection.
A temperature increase inside the cabin causes a reduction of the relative humidity. The dry air accelerates the water extraction from the fruit.
Design
Solar Dryer DIY is the solution to manage the surpluses of fruit that exists in some countries of sub-Saharan Africa. The machine is adapted to the characteristics and needs of the area.

The design, in addition to using affordable and easy-to-reach materials, reuses a spattered refrigerator as a drying cabin. A new use is given to an element that would no longer serve, and also is simplifying and reducing costs of the construction of the machine.

The design is detachable in order to facilitate transport to the country
In order to be able to dry fruit anytime, a heat source has been installed inside the cabin
